Medi-Cool Program
With funding from the Mercer County Department of Human Services Office on Aging, Rise partnered with Catholic Charities Diocese of Trenton to provide 5,000 BTU Air Conditioning Units for Mercer County low-income seniors and/or adults who have a disability. For more information or to schedule an eligibility screening, interested agencies or individuals may contact the Rise office or Catholic Charities.
FUN at Rise
The F.U.N (Families Understanding Nutrition) and A.F.U.N (Adult Families Understanding Nutrition) at Rise is a year-long program to include low-income, families and adults, currently served by the Rise Pantry, who receive a monthly supplemental Rise Pantry box (e.g., ‘Blue Plate’) containing nutritious food, baby and children’s products, cleaning products, healthy recipes and life-style tips, and access to nutritional educational support.
Domestic Violence Prevention
In partnership with Womanspace, Rise provides on-site counseling with a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker employed by Womanspace. Rise case managers screen for domestic violence with all clients who come to Rise.
Onsite Counseling
We provide scheduled counseling sessions in the privacy of our on-site counseling center.
New Jersey WIC
WIC counselors are on-site. WIC is a public health nutrition program that provides education, nutritious food and improved access to health care and social services for low or moderate-income pregnant women, new mothers and children younger than five years of age.
Health Screenings
Throughout the year, Rise provides access to free screenings of mammograms, colon health, dental and eye exams. Please contact Julia at 609-443-4464 to find which programs are currently available.
